Weekly Challenge #198 - Keep It Simple, Silly

Simple, really? What in life is simple?! Especially in December. Again... that's why they call it a challenge. I admit I peeked at other's posts on the Diva Challenge before doing my own. Everyone seems to define "simple" differently.

I wanted to do something other than Mooka (my go-to) so I just went up on Tangle Patterns and watched the blocks go by. When I saw Groovy, I just had to go with it.

Merry Christmas and I'll see you all in the New Year!

Weekly Challenger #197 - Arukas

And so the Christmas season begins. Got all my baking for the nieces and nephews done and boxed up. Ready for the post office!

And on to the Diva Challenge for the week. Glad to have the Diva back and everyone on the mend. I played around with Arukas for a while, but it's... So. Many. Straight. Lines.

My pen started wandering and I just followed along. I considered putting something in the center (Snowflake? Hubcap? Smiley Face?) but I thought the flat white space was a nice balance to all the other chaos.

Pattern used: Arukas

(Antonine, floating pearls! Think I need more practice on those, but a promise is a promise.)

Weekly Challenge #196 - All Dolled Up

Dolls... never played with them. Sewed clothes for them, but never really got the "girly" thing. I was stuck on this week's guest Diva Challenge as I didn't have the paper doll ju-ju... wait... paper... THAT I can do.

Back pre-kids, a friend and I liked to take card making classes. We did one where you cut a shape out of folded tissue paper, dyed it with food coloring and then opened it up. This is one of our favorite patterns from way back when.
Not sure of the patterns... I may have made a couple up;) Static, Heart... something, Kitl... sorta.
