Happy New Year. Wasn't it lovely to enjoy the holidays and play? I hadn't done any quilling in forever, and it was great getting back to it. The Duchess "D" is complete!
For this week's
Diva Challenge, we were given Hitched. I'd missed my challenge challenge over the holidays!
Patterns used: Hitched, Yincut, Aquafleur (sorta), and Scrolled Feather
Your zentangle is great! So 3D-al! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you incorporated two other tangles right inside of Hitched! Great effect.
ReplyDeleteI love this so much. I keep looking at it and it makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteDuchess, your quilled D is simply elegant!! You did a magnificent job on it!I have to agree, I have not done any quilling in a while. I do miss it. I feel the need to work on a big project, although I know that it takes quite a while to finish one though! I think that is one reason why I got hooked onto Zentangle, because I can finish a project so much quicker. Quilling definitely takes patience!!! Yours really is beautiful!!! I love your Zentangle tile! Your Aquafleur is pretty, it also reminds me of 'Pepper'. you did a fantastic job! Keep up the beautiful creativity!! Happy New Year! :0) Annette Oh, please check out the blog of Zoe Brener. 'My Specialist' She does quilling and Zentangle too. She does beautiful work!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour tile is beautiful and the D is gorgeous! I love the 3D effect in it.

ReplyDeleteLove your execution of Hitched (this tangle has so much potential for variation). Your quilled letter is fantastic. I dug out some of my old quilled work and scanned it in so I can post it on my blog.
